wasabi apple butter
with the RYU Wasabi paste
INGREDIENTS
- 250 g butter (alternatively margarine)
- 120 g apple sauce
- 50 g RYU Wasabi paste
- salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the apple sauce in a heatproof container and bake in the oven at 200 °C for 20-30 minutes to intensify the flavour.
- Beat the butter with a whisk until it is white. It should have doubled in volume and the consistency should be similar to that of mayonnaise.
- Now stir the apple sauce, a little salt and the RYU Wasabi paste into the whipped butter.
- Either enjoy the finished wasabi butter immediately or pipe it in portions onto a baking tray covered with baking paper using a piping bag and freeze. Once frozen, the individual portions of butter can be placed in a storage tin or freezer bag. Before using, the frozen butter must be left to defrost for one hour at room temperature or for 3-4 hours in the fridge.
